I sat on a pony for the first time when I was two years old. At five I was already taking my first riding lessons and a year later I had my first horse to look after. Horses became my first great passion, which over the years also led to my love of horse photography... Initially with disposable cameras, later with my first SLR camera, I photographed every horse and pony that came into my lens. Of course, everything was not as organized and professional as it is today, because at that age I was still completely unaware that horse photography actually existed as an official branch of photography.

In the 8th grade I finally met Deiko, a German riding pony who immediately touched my heart. He taught me a lot about how to deal with and communicate with horses. Unfortunately, his life ended tragically far too early and our journey together ended after just a few years, without any warning. Since I had never heard of professional horse photography at the time, unfortunately we never got as great pictures of us as I would have liked.

That's exactly why horse photography is so important to me. Because I want to give people the opportunity that I missed and capture moments for eternity before it's perhaps too late.

I want to capture the deep bond between humans and animals and, in a relaxed and calm way, create authentic memories that become so much more precious over time.
